Crossing Saigon to Hanoi 13D12N

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Danang - Hoi An - Hue - Hanoi - Halong
Bay - Duong Lam - Hanoi
The best place to start is at the beginning, so our first stop is Ho Chi Minh City (formally Saigon, 1974). Not only has the city become the economic center of Vietnam you will soon learn that the traditions of the past and the vibrant growth exist side by side.  You will be invited to visit the iconic sites that have made Vietnam famous throughout the world and will also be invited to dine with a Vietnamese family in their home.

From Ho Chi Minh City we venture to the Mekong Delta region and cruise the Mekong on the elegant Song Xanh craft. The boat allows us to wander the delta's hundreds of tributaries and canals while experiencing superb on-board amenities including a candle-lit dinner and comfortable lodgings while aboard.

As we travel to the center of Vietnam, we will discover more deeply the culture and history which is exemplified in the trading port of Hoi An. A visit to a rural vegetable-growing village and dinner in a historian's home further immerses you in the local culture.

Day 1 - Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (D)
Once you have arrived at Ho Chi Minh City airport, your AWS guides will take you to your accommodations and help with the check-in process.  The "new" economic capital of Ho Chi Minh City (formally Saigon, 1974) has also become the center of a vibrant and exciting city life experience. A mixture of the traditional and the 21st century, you will welcome that relaxing spa treatment at the end of the day followed by a grand dining experience at the city's best restaurant.
