Day 1 - Siem Reap - Arrival
You have arrived in Siem Reap, gateway to a thrilling adventure into the past. You will soon visit  the Angkor Archaeological Park for a ride in a tethered helium balloon after having checked into your charming hotel,  but whether you are floating in tranquil space or feet firmly planted on the ground you are going to discover why visitors to Cambodia return again and again.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2 - Siem Reap (B)
We begin our adventure at Angkor Thom city.  From the  mysteries that the Bayon temple holds to the bas reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor Thom is filled with the indefinable spirit of the Khmer people. We move to the temple of Ta Phrom and later the small Banteay Kdei temple. A sequence from Laura Croft, Tomb Raider was filmed at Ta Phrom and for good reason.  This temple exhibits a perfect synergy between nature and a man-made structure.  There is nothing quit like it any place on the planet.

Later in the day we will visit the wondrous Angkor Wat, the world's largest Hindu-Buddhist temple. For centuries it lay hidden beneath a jungle and was rediscovered in the 17th century.  You have to see it to believe it.  No image does it justice. It has often been compared to the great cathedral at Chartres in France not only because of its majesty but because of a spiritual force that seems to focus on this place.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3 - Siem Reap - Departure (B)

This morning, enjoy some time at leisure to relax at the hotel or to discover Siem Reap town on your own until transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

Jayavaraman II was the first king of the Angkorian era, though his origins are recorded in history that borders on legend. He made this declaration in 802AD in a ceremony on Kulen Mountain (Phnom Kulen) north of Siem Reap, where he held a ‘god-king’ rite that....
