Meeting our guide Poan was a true honor; he is an educated, sensitive and kind man. His intricate knowledge of the history and art of Cambodia, skill as a guide, and willingness to share with us his experiences of life in modern-day Cambodia helped make our trip a real once-in-a-lifetime experience. On my first trip, you showed us Angkor Wat Temple and other sites near Siem Reap. One year later I made my second trip any you took me to areas that are less frequented by tourists.Visits to the Village of Kompong Khleang near Lake Tonle Sap and the memorable Preah Vihear Temple will always bring a smile to my face. What truly makes Cambodia so special is the genuine friendliness and caring of the Khmer people.
