After completion of border crossing, you will be chauffeured on a private luxury AC vehicle by our Cambodian driver to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The drive approximately takes two hours.

Siem Reap - is the provincial capital of Siem Reap province. This small town crossed by a river coming from the Kulen mountain is the gateway for the visit of the Angkor Park which is over 400 km2 and is home of more than 100 temples dating from the 9th to 13th century.

Upon arrival at Angkor ticket counter in Siem Reap, you will be met and welcomed by our English speaking guide. After buying your temple passes (temple passes are included), you will be transferred for the breakfast. Breakfast at local restaurant in front of Angkor Wat (at your own cost).

Angkor Wat - after breakfast, visit the magnificent temple built by Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. Angkor Wat symbolizes Mount Meru, home of the gods, and considered the pinnacle of Khmer architecture. This Vishnuite temple is the King’s funerary temple, which is why the temple is oriented to the west. Inside the temple the walls are covered by carvings and bas-reliefs depicting the Hindu mythology and the wars during the reign of Suryavarman II. As well, Angkor Wat is well-known for the 1800 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. It is said to take a lifetime to discover all the wonders of this temple.

Angkor Thom City complex - continue to the Great City of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8 meters high wall; each side of the city is 3 kilometers long. It draws a perfect square with access to this town through 5 gates; 4 of them representing the cardinal points and the 5th one being the Victory Gate leading directly to the Royal Palace area.

You will arrive via the South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and 4 giant faces. On each side is a row of 54 gods or demons holding the sacred Naga snake.

After passing through the South Gate, you will go along a shaded road to the Bayon temple. This temple lies exactly in the center of the city. The particularity of this monument is the 54 towers representing the 54 provinces of the then Great Khmer Empire. Each tower has 4 faces. This is the only temple in Cambodia depicting scenes of the everyday life at the time of the empire.

From the Bayon continue by walking to the Baphoun recently re-opened to the public. There you will pass by the Phimeanakas, the location of the Royal Palace. The only remaining features are a pond and a temple. The palace was made of wood and did not survive the time and the wars.

Then continue to the Terrace of the Elephants. This terrace was the place where the parade was held for the king. Next is the Terrace of the Leper King depicting the water world.

Ta Prohm Ruins (known as Tomb Raider temple) & small circuit - continue to Ta Prohm, one of the most popular temples of the Angkor Complex. This temple was built in the memory of the King Jayavarman VII’s mother. When found by the French conservators at the end of the 19th century, they deliberately left this temple in the same condition as it was discovered, overgrown by strangler fig and silk-cotton trees, giving the temple a mystical and romantic appeal.

Your visit will also include Banteay Kdei, a Buddhist monastery from the late 12th century, Srah Srang, also known as the "pool of ablution", the identical twin temples of Tommanon and Chaosay Tevoda, and Krovan temple.

Lunch at local restaurant (at your own cost)

After lunch, continue visit temples and then return to Siem Reap, stop by Siem Reap downtown exploring Old Market, Pub Street and Siem Reap City formerly French colonial head quarter.

At 4pm (but flexible and available upon request), part ways with the tour guide, you will be chauffeured back to Poi Pet border on a private luxury A/C vehicle.

Return to Siem Reap after watching sunset over the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill. Dominating the flat landscape, this 10th Century mountain temple is the most popular spot in the area to watch a classic sunset over Angkor Wat and the surrounding forest or

Watching sunset at Pre Rup temple, a Hindu temple, built as the state temple of king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. The temple’s name is a comparatively modern one meaning "turn the body". This reflects the common belief among Cambodians that funerals were conducted at the temple, with the ashes of the body being ritually rotated in different directions as the service progressed.

Enjoy your dinner and free time exploring Old Market, Pub Street, Night Market, Siem Reap nightlife activites and Siem Reap City formerly French colonial head quarter.

Met and Exceeded Every Expectation!

You can see the Angkor Wat and Angkor Tom complex in a day trip from Bangkok. It is an intense day but this company makes it possible. They’re communication of the entire process is complete and concise with everything you need to know from the itinerary with exact times to what you need to have with you for the border crossing into Cambodia. Our driver picked us up 15 minutes early and completed the 4-hour drive to the border on time. The guide helping across the border was amazing. We never would have been able to figure it out but we sailed through with his help. The next driver took us the last 2 hours from the border to Siem Reap to meet our guide. The same driver carried us from place to place throughout the day. We were thankful for the air conditioned breaks between the sights. The breakfast and the lunch were both quality local food which we loved. (Get the Cambodian coffee!) Finally, I cannot say enough great things about our private tour guide, Sophoan. He was amazing, taught us all about the history of it all, and even took some great pictures of us that we would not have known to get. Sophoan went the extra mile for us. This was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do this.

Unforgettable, magical excursion

We really researched guides/tours for visiting Angkor Wat, as we were staying in Bangkok and knew it would be a long and complicated day. After finding Sophoan Rath and his reviews we felt like we would be in good hands. Indeed we were! Phoan arranged our drivers, border crossings, and visits to the sites. He is a wonderful gentleman with a deep knowledge and love of this area and the sites of Angkor Wat. He speaks excellent English and could answer all questions we asked. We felt like we not only had a magical day but met a man we would never forget. Excellent excursion, guide and drivers! Thank you, Phoan, for a wonderful memory.

Bangkok to Angkor Wat and Back

If you get to Bangkok with limited time and realise that you really want to get to see the magnificent temple complex of Angkor Wat whilst you’re in the region all is not lost.

The delightful Sophoan Rath who runs Angkor Wat Services can arrange to take you from your Bangkok hotel to see all the main temples and back in a single (albeit very long) day.

The day’s agenda looked slightly daunting but every step ran like clockwork. We were picked up as promised at 3am and were driven to the Cambodian border where we were met by Suk who walked us (literally) through both sets of border posts.

The world changed significantly once over the border as the Cambodian country side and small villages passed by. This was a really interesting part of the day and something you won’t get if you fly directly to Siem Reap. After 2hours we arrived into the town which has transformed from the small backwater when I was here last 25 years ago.

Angor Wat is now a major tourist site with masses of tourists to,match. Sophoan really adds value to the day as he expedites the whole process. He seems to know everyone, has encyclopaedic knowledge of the site, its history and culture and not least is one of the most lovely people you’ll ever meet.

After seeing the main temples the time came to return and the reverse trip happened as before without a hitch. A truly unforgettable experience and not to be missed.

Bangkok to Angkor Wat and Back

This is a brilliant operation if you are limited on time, for your holiday. A driver shows up at your hotel at 3am, drives you to the border, you meet up with someone who expedites, getting you into Cambodia with all of the required paperwork, next he will lead you to the Cambodia driver. He will drive you the rest of the way to your destination, where he will pick up the tour guide. Sophoan was our tour guide, bilingual, well read and very professional. He answered all of our questions, and brought us to all the best sites for pictures. Before doing all of that, we had lunch at a restaurant at Angkor Wat with a view of it. In total, we're taking to Angkor Wat, and two other temples. We also got to feed monkeys which is pretty amazing in of itself. You'll have plenty of opportunity to get drinks/coffee and use the toilet. If you're American, they accept US dollar currency in Cambodia. Once the tour was completed and we said goodbye to Sophoan, our Cambodian driver drove us back to the border. (On a side note, if you're not used to Cambodian driving it's definitely very exhilarating) you'll arrive at the border and greeted by the same fixer that got you through the first time. He will lead you back into Thailand where you first started. He will get your Thai driver and have them bring you back to Bangkok. You should arrive back to your hotel at around 10 p.m. It's a long day but considering that you get to visit a whole different country it's well worth it. We highly recommend that you take this tour of Cambodia if you are staying in Bangkok even if you aren't limited on time. It's well worth the price and I would pay it again, considering how much they do for you and how much you get to see. Thanks again guys!

Day trip to Angkor Wat

I was traveling to Bangkok for work but wanted to experience the grandeur of Angkor Wat but only had one day to do so. Sophoan took care the entire day trip that I could have never planned on my own for a very reasonable price and made sure the excursion went off without a hitch. Poan is very trustworthy, knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we were able to see the highlights of Angkor Archaeological Park while still having time for lunch and souvenirs. There is so much history in Siem Reap that I am glad I hired a very well-versed guide as I would have missed so much doing it on my own! You will not be disappointed with this tour!

bangkok to angkor wat in a day

Are you in Bangkok, and heard of angkor wat and always wanted to go there? This company is what you are looking for. They offer hassle-free trips where they take care of everything. Sophoan (owner and guide) starts taking care of you the moment you book your trip. There really wasn't much for me to do. His team transported us from BK to AW. He even has a boarder team member to help us cross into Cambodia with ease. At the site, he did a good job in explaining the history of angkor wat and surrounding temples. Was attentive to our needs and made us the number one priority. I'm very thankful to him for his services. If I ever go back, I would use him again.

Amazing Angkot Wat Day

Tour I would like to thank Sophoan and his team for the wonderful tour in Angkor Wat. I planned this trip to Southeast Asia and we chose the 1 day tour from Bangkok to Siem Reap because we did not have a lot of time in Bangkok. From the moment I contacted Sophoan by e-mail, I noticed he was very informative and knowledge. He answered all my e-mails and queries quickly. I would like to share my experience in detail because I was very satisfied with the tour service. As agreed and informed by Sophoan previously, there was a driver arranged by Sophoan in our hotel lobby at 2:30am. He provided the driver name and information as well as the van plate number in advance. When we arrived at the Cambodia and Thailand border, there was an English speaker guide to help us to cross the border. After crossing the border, there was another driver with an A/C car waiting for us to drive to Siem Reap. We arrived in Siem Reap and met Sophoan in the hotel where we had another driver to take us to Angkor Wat. All drivers provide bottled waters for us when needed. The package included the entrance fee and we had a very informative tour with loads of history of the temples we visited. Sophoan kindly took us to a souvenir shop after visiting the Angkor Wat. This was a last minute request and he was very happy to take us where we wanted. After we finished the day tour, the same driver took us back to Cambodia and Thailand border and the same English speaker guide to help us to cross the border. After that, here was a minivan waiting for us to take us to the hotel in Bangkok. I highly recommend this tour, it is worth having a knowledgeable and friendly guide and someone to explain the beauty of Angkor Wat. Sophoan also took great pictures of us during the tour and sent them by email. Much appreciated.

SECURE, GREAT SERVICE!

If you dont have time to stay longer in cambodia, this is the better option, we were in Bangkok and have just 1 day to go there, everything was perfect, on time, all set up. It was worth it, Mr. Sophan great person, Our guide Kim the best and a great photographer, our driver so good, all the people who work there were so kind. The tour was amazing, we even have time to go to hard rock café to buy stuff. Such an amazing day with the best service in town!

Awesome experience with a great tour guide

We took a one day tour of Angkor Wat from Bangkok. Just one look at this remarkable place and we both knew it was going to be an awesome experience. The whole complex is very big and it would take more than one day to thoroughly see all the temples, since each and every single one of them is beautiful in its own way. Especially the one with the trees that show their roots (Ta Prohm). The tour guide (Mr. Sophoan Rath) did an excellent job.

He explained the history of the temples and the stories portrayed on the walls with great detail and knew the answers to any of our questions and he was very nice. You could tell that he really cared about our experience from the way he was willing to adapt to our wishes (the order of seeing the temples, seeing the city, go for a bite, rest).

The experience with this tour company was more than amazing, and we would recommend them to anyone travelling to Angkor Wat.

Perfect tour guide!

Mr. Sophoan Rath basically handled everything from top to bottom regarding our trip. Me and my mother went there for one day. We were picked up from our hotel in Bangkok and taken to Cambodia. From passport controls to the ride to Angkor Wat, everything was perfect. He informed us along the way all the time and took us to whereever we wanted to. I strongly recommend this tour to everyone who would like to have a magical experience in Cambodia!
